The Kadayawan Festival is an annual festival in the city of Davao in the Philippines. Its name derives from the friendly greeting "Madayaw", from the Dabawenyo word "dayaw", meaning good, valuable, superior or beautiful. The festival is a celebration of life, a thanksgiving for the gifts of nature, the wealth of culture, the bounties of harvest and serenity of living.

Today, Kadayawan has transformed into a festival of festivals, the mother of may other festivals in the region as it honors Davao’s artistic, cultural and historical heritage, its past personified by the ancestral “lumads”, its people as they celebrate on the streets, and its floral industry as they parade in full regalia in thanksgiving for the blessings granted on the city. A celebration that interfaces the three aspects; tribal, industrial and arts and entertainment. The festivities will be highlighted by the floral float, street-dancing competitions and exhibits showcasing the island’s tourism products and services.

“Kadayawan sa Dabaw” is an enriching experience with a difference as its explores the past, present and future of the Davaoeños, the Mindanaoans, the Filipinos. Its sights and sounds remain supreme. Be part of the experience.

Interesting perspective written by my 14 year old.

From the time I was young I can remember our oldest dog, Chipper.  People claim that cats and dogs are sworn enemies.  Well, Chipper is living proof this statement is dead wrong.  One of my earliest memories is of Chipper, two cats named Marvin and Millie, and me sleeping together.  I was woken up by the sound of purring.  As I opened my eyes, I saw that Chipper was lying on his side with his paws on either side of the two young kittens.  They were happily purring as they drowsed away to sleep.

Now that I’m older, I think back and imagine if only humans that think they are sworn enemies could along like this.  What a wonderful world it would be.  There would no longer be a need for war, for that matter there wouldn’t have been the Iraq war.  We as the United States wouldn’t have even thought about Saddam having weapons of mass destruction.  In fact, Weapons of Mass Destruction wouldn’t even exist.

If only the world was like the truth about cats and dogs instead of like the myth about them.

The 2008 Summer Olympics, officially known as the Games of the XXIX Olympiad, will be celebrated from August 8, 2008, to August 24, 2008, with the opening ceremony beginning at 08:08:08 pm CST (12:08:08 UTC) at the Beijing National Stadium in Beijing, People’s Republic of China.[a] Some events will be held outside Beijing, namely football (soccer) (in Qinhuangdao, Shanghai, Shenyang and Tianjin), equestrian (in Hong Kong) and sailing (in Qingdao). This will be the third time the Olympics are held under the jurisdiction of 2 different NOCs (Hong Kong and mainland China compete separately).

The Olympic games were awarded to Beijing, People’s Republic of China after an exhaustive ballot of the International Olympic Committee (IOC) on July 13, 2001. The official logo of the games, titled "Dancing Beijing," features a stylized calligraphic character jīng (京, meaning capital), referencing the host city. The mascots of Beijing 2008 are the five Fuwa, each representing one color of the Olympic rings. The Olympic slogan, One World, One Dream, calls upon the world to unite in the Olympic spirit. Athletes will compete in 302 events in 28 sports, just one event more than was on the schedule of the Athens games of 2004. Several new National Olympic Committees (NOCs) have also been recognized by the IOC.

I must admit this, I may be a certified programmer but I can not really design blog. It seems that the task really needs passion for work. But, honestly, I really wanted to design a blog. Anyways, with my cravenness or insecurities on the companies which offers tasks on designing blog, I have found MaxWebDesign. My first expression was _________. Honestly! The site is really great and the more I scrutinize their site, services and products offered, I got really dazed. They were all simple yet elegant. After my visit with that site I got this initiative to blog about web design. I mean I got really astonished with it and at the same time I got inspired because not all of us have such passion and gift on web design. I should really do more blogs on telling people about it. I hope I can work out also my talents on it and I believe that I can also do it by my own little by little. After all, I need not to worry about it because I have Max Web Design to assist me. So, if you are looking for an ultimate website which offers quality products and great services, visit directly Max Web Design and you will appreciate art at its best.
